The study aimed to identify the degree of psychological and social adjustment of adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and its relationship to their vocational preparation skills from the point of view of rehabilitation specialists working with them. Where the descriptive correlational approach was used for its suitability for the purposes of the study. The study population consisted of (90) adolescents with autism spectrum disorder who are enrolled in the vocational training program in special education centers and distributed to (3) centers in the capital Amman Governorate. Where they were chosen by the intentional method, and to collect data; The researcher prepared two scales, which are the psychological and social adjustment scale and the vocational preparation scale for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder who are enrolled in the vocational preparation program, and their validity and reliability were verified. The results of the study showed that the degree of psychological and social adjustment of adolescents with autism spectrum disorder enrolled in the vocational preparation program was medium, and that the vocational preparation skills were of a moderate degree. The results also showed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between psychological and social adjustment and vocational preparation skills among adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. The study recommended the need to pay attention to vocational preparation programs for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and to provide them with psychological services. (Author’s abstract)
