أسباب العزوف لدى بعض لاعبي الكرة الطائرة عن الإستمرار في اللعب بالمستويات المتقدمة من وجهة نظر المدربين
This study aimed to identify the reasons behind the dropout of some volleyball players from continuing to play at advanced levels from the perspective of coaches, according to variables such as gender, league level, and years of experience. The researcher used the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature of the study. The study population consisted of 106 coaches registered with the Jordan Volleyball Federation and holding accredited coaching certificates from the International Volleyball Federation for the 2023/2024 sports season. The sample size was 64 coaches, selected deliberately. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of four domains of reasons for dropping out from playing at advanced levels: social reasons, psychological reasons, financial reasons, and administrative reasons. This questionnaire was distributed electronically via social media. The study employed the following statistical methods: measures of central tendency (means, standard deviations, frequencies, and percentages), Cronbach's alpha test, independent samples t-test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, one-way ANOVA, and the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that administrative reasons play the most significant role in the dropout reasons among some volleyball players from the perspective of the sample respondents, followed by financial reasons, then social reasons, and finally psychological reasons. There were no statistically significant differences in all study axes concerning the coach's gender, and no statistically significant differences regarding the league level. However, there were statistically significant differences in the social domain concerning years of experience. The study recommended several suggestions, the most important of which is to work on improving and developing administrative systems and decisions and to provide the necessary resources to ensure the continued participation of players in volleyball until reaching advanced levels in Jordanian clubs.
