This study aimed to explore the opinions of Arabic language teachers at the secondary level in schools under the Directorate of Education in South Hebron regarding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in education. The study adopted a qualitative methodology using the case study approach. Data were collected through a semi structured individual interview tool, involving interviews with secondary school teachers in public schools. The findings indicated that employing AI applications in education contributes to enhancing the quality of education, improving learning effectiveness, fostering interaction and participation, supporting teachers and reducing their workload, as well as improving the ability to assess and monitor. The study also revealed the requirements for integrating AI applications in education, which included technical and technological requirements, human resource needs, financial and administrative requirements, the development of educational resources, and technical and security support. Furthermore, the results highlighted the challenges of employing AI applications in education, such as technical and infrastructure challenges, professional and human challenges, financial and administrative challenges, and cultural and ethical challenges. The study offered several recommendations, including providing regular training programs for teachers aimed at developing their skills in utilizing AI applications in education. (Published abstract)
