The research was conducted on (701) male and female students from the scientific and literary departments of Al-Azhar and general secondary school students in Port Said, and applied to them the research criteria represented in: the decision-taking scale (prepared by the researcher), the scale of the ability to solve problems (prepared by the researcher), and the measure of cognitive holding Power. Knowledge (prepared by Adel Saad). In the statistical treatments, the SPSS 22 program and the AMOS 26 statistical program were used, and the path analysis method. The results resulted in the presence of indirect effects of decision- taking and the ability to solve problems on cognitive holding Power through the chronological age of secondary school students, and the presence of indirect causal effects.
