The study examined digital citizenship awareness and practices among female teacher students and its relationship with their perceptions towards the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Conducted at the College of Basic Education in Kuwait with 211 participants, it employed correlational descriptive methods. Findings revealed a generally high level of digital citizenship awareness and practice. Additionally, the results showed that the participants had a high level of reliance on social media and positive attitudes towards internet usage and digital proficiency. However, they showed lower levels of digital self-efficacy and digital enjoyment compared to other dimensions of perceptions towards the use of ICT. Furthermore, the results indicated a statistically significant correlation between the level of awareness and practice of digital citizenship dimensions among the participants and their perceptions towards the use of ICT. Regression analysis revealed that 40% of the variance in the level of awareness and practice of digital citizenship dimensions among the participants can be explained by its linear relationship with five independent variables related to participants’ perceptions towards the use of ICT. Moreover, the results showed that digital proficiency, reliance on social media, and digital enjoyment were individually significant predictors of the level of digital citizenship among the students.
