عوامل تدني التحصيل الدراسي في مادة الدراسات الإجتماعية لدى طلبة المرحلة الأساسية العليا من وجهة نظر المعلمين ومديري المدارس
This study aimed at recognizing the factors behind poor academic achievement in social studies for students of the upper basic stage from teachers’ and principals’ point of view. The sample of the study consisted of (71) male and female teachers from the subject of social studies, and (49) male and female principals’, chosen by the stratified random method, In order to achieve the study purposes, also the researcher designed questionnaire, and its validity and reliability were insured, statistical methods were used, which are averages, standard deviations, and relative weight. The findings of the study showed that the factors behind the poor academic achievement in social studies for students of the upper basic stage in the subject of social studies were moderate, The results also showed there were statistical differences at the level (α=0.05) of the factors behind the poor academic achievement in social studies for students of the upper basic stage students due to the job variable, in favor for teachers, while there were statistical differences due to sex variable, and due males.
