فاعلية استراتيجية react القائمة على المدخل السياقي في تنمية مهارات الحس العددي والميل نحو مادة الرياضيات لدى طلاب المرحلة الإعدادية
The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of the REACT strategy based on contextual input in developing numerical sense skills and the attitude towards mathematics among middle school students. The research was applied to a group of first-year middle school students in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq School for Basic Education. The sample consisted of 60 students, divided into 30 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. The research provided several educational materials and measurement tools, including a list of numerical sense skills, a scale for measuring the attitude towards mathematics, a student book for the unit (Numbers and Algebra) prescribed for first-year middle school students in the second semester, after being reformulated according to the REACT strategy based on contextual input, a teacher’s guide for teaching the unit using the REACT strategy, a measurement tool for numerical sense represented in a numerical sense test, and a measurement tool for the attitude towards mathematics represented in the attitude towards mathematics scale. The results of the research indicated a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental and control group students on the post-test of the numerical sense test, in favor of the experimental group. The research presented several recommendations, including the necessity of focusing on using the REACT strategy, which engages students in real-life situations, and the importance of fostering numerical sense skills among middle school students.
