The study aimed at revealing the levels of autonomy of children aged 6 to 9 years and finding their relationship with the work of women in the field of education in the city of Jeddah. In addition to, it's by identifying the causes and methods used by the working mother in the pedagogical field to make her children independent. The sample of the study consisted of (125) mother of a child aged between 6 and 9 years and a female employee in general education, whether director, teacher or administrative Furthermore, the researcher used a questionnaire and interviews to achieve the objectives of the study. Seeing that, one of the most important findings of the researcher that the nature of the mother's work in the field of education and working hours does not affect the independence of their children. The children of pedagogic workers are somewhat independent but still need training in higher skills for independence and self-reliance. Subsequently, the methods used by the working mother in the field of education to help her children to be independent are (democracy, dialogue, discussion, empowerment and trust in children). To conclude with, the study presented some recommendations for some educational methods that women working in the field of education could use to be able to raise the degree of independence of students and their children.
