The study aimed to evaluate the activities and exercises of the book "Lughati Alkhalidah" for the third intermediate grade in light of PISA reading literacy skills. To achieve this, the researcher followed the descriptive-analytical approach using the content analysis method, with the abovementioned book as the study sample. To answer the study's questions, the researcher prepared the tools, namely: The PISA reading literacy skills inventory and the content analysis card, which were applied to the sample after ensuring their reliability and validity. Percentages and frequencies in answers were used to answer the study questions. The results of the study revealed that the activities and exercises found in the book “Lughati Alkhalidah” have some inconsistency in the inclusion of the reading knowledge skills of the PISA International student assessment program. More, specifically, only lower-level skills (1-3) are included while higher-level skills (4-6) are not present at all. In light of this, the researcher recommended that the book “Lughati Alkhalidah” should include activities and exercises that consistently cover all levels of the PISA skills. Also, the researcher recommended introducing the skills more broadly and in a gradual manner during all grades prior to the third intermediate grade, so that students can master them correctly and in a progressive manner. The researcher suggested conducting studies similar to this one on other courses, especially those in which international assessments are conducted. (Published abstract)
