تعزيز ثقافة التميز في برامج الدراسات العليا التربوية بالجامعات السعودية : دراسة مختلطة الأدوات
This study investigated the statusque of the culture of excellence in graduate educational programs at Saudi universities and present a proposal to promote it from the perspectives of graduate students. It focused on four key areas: developing future leadership, lifelong learning and sustainable development, effective integration of technology and its applications, and equipping students with future-oriented skills. A mixed-methods design was employed, using both quantitative and qualitative tools. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire administered to a simple random sample of 214 graduate students in educational programs. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 25 doctoral students in educational disciplines. Findings indicated that these programs significantly promote a culture of excellence in the areas of leadership development, continuous learning, and future skills acquisition. However, support for technology integration was found to be moderate. The programs enhanced students’ perseverance, attention to detail, self-confidence, information-seeking behaviors, technological engagement, and virtual collaboration. Key skills developed included presentation and communication, time management and punctuality, critical thinking, problem-solving, and priority setting. Among program components, faculty performance, assignments, and course content were identified as the most supportive of cultivating a culture of excellence. Based on these findings, the study proposed a conceptual framework to further enhance the culture of excellence in graduate educational programs at Saudi universities. (Published abstract)
