This study aimed to reveal the effect of a training program based on assistive technology to reduce the routine and stereotypical behaviors of children with autism spectrum disorder. This quasi-experimental study involved sample consisted of (20) girls with autism spectrum disorder the age of (10) years. They were allocated into two groups: an experimental group that included (10) girls and a control group that included (10) girls. The study participants were selected from the available sample from the Jordanian Academy for Autism in Amman in the academic year 2023-2024. The Stereotype and Routine Behavior Scale was used. Afterwards, the training program was applied on the experimental group. This study findings showed a statistically significant difference between experimental and control groups on the stereotypic and routine behavior scale for children with autism spectrum disorder due to the training program. In addition, this study found no statistically significant differences among the experimental group in the pre- and follow-up performance on the Stereotypical Routine and Behavior Scale among children with autism spectrum disorder due to the continuity of the program effect.
