This study aimed to investigate the effect of assessment based on virtual reality technology on the motivation to learn mathematics among basic female seventh-grade students at Ashrafieh Secondary School in Amman Governorate. The study sample consisted of 48 seventh-grade female students at Ashrafieh School, who were selected randomly. The study tool was a scale of motivation consisting of 33 items. Its validity and reliability were verified. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the means of the female students of the two groups (control and experimental) on the motivation test to learn mathematics in favor of the experimental group that used the virtual reality-based assessment. This means that the virtual reality-based assessment has a positive effect in increasing female students’ motivation to learn math. (Published abstract)
