The study aimed at identifying the prevalence of toxic leadership in the education directorates in Palestine. To achieve the study objective, a 24-item questionnaire was developed, distributed over the five dimensions of toxic leadership: Narcissism, abusive supervision, authoritarian leadership, self-promotion, and unpredictability. The study sample consisted of (322) employees. The results showed that the degree of prevalence of toxic leadership in the education directorates in Palestine from the point of view of their employees was medium. Furthermore, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables: sex, job position, and academic qualification, but there were statistically significant differences attributed to the variables: years of experience and educational region. Accordingly, the researchers recommended that education directorates prevent toxic leadership and maintain a high level of effectiveness and administrative efficiency. (Published abstract)
