This study seeks to uncover the reality of the use of artificial intelligence tools in scientific research in Moroccan universities, explore ways to benefit researchers from them, and highlight the most important challenges they face in using them. The study relied on the analytical descriptive curriculum by surveying a sample of 180 Moroccan researchers from four Moroccan universities through the questionnaire. The study found that all interrogated researchers have knowledge of AI tools for scientific research, that their level of knowledge of them is generally quite good, that they often use them in the search for references and sources, in linguistic scrutiny, in writing and translation, and that their attitudes are positive towards their use in scientific research, but are concerned about their negative impact on human creativity and scientific honesty Many of them also expressed the most important challenges they face when using them: the fact that some of these tools are not free, and that they do not have enough expertise and skill to use them. They therefore call for their use to be legalized with respect for scientific honesty, and express their desire to benefit from academic formations specializing in the use of artificial intelligence tools in scientific research.
