The study aimed to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and social self-efficacy among students of the upper basic stage in the first Zarqa district, and the level of each of the two variables. The study followed the correlational descriptive methodology. The study sample consisted of (400) school students randomly selected from the grades of the upper basic stage in the first Zarqa district. To achieve the objectives of the study, two scales were developed: emotional intelligence and social self-efficacy, and the indications of their validity and reliability were verified and then applied to the study sample. The results showed that the level of emotional intelligence among students of the upper basic stage in Zarqa was high, and the results found that the level of social self-efficacy was high, and the results also showed a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and social self-efficacy among students of the upper basic stage in the first district of Zarqa. In light of the findings of the study recommended the need to develop plans and training programs for students in schools to maintain the levels of emotional intelligence skills of students in schools.
