The importance of national fundamentals in textbooks lies in the fact it is a currently critical issue that constitutes a hugely important part in education, especially in its relation to the teaching of values, preserving identity, adoption of a moderate approach and fighting all the forms of extremism. Investigatingthis issue, the descriptive approach is adopted to describe and analyze the national fundamentals included in Moroccan secondary school syllabi in order to find out the extent to which they promote and inculcate national values in learners.
