This research aimed to identify the Impact of the idea filtering strategy in developing knowledge of linguistic styles and grammatical functions among fifth-grade primary school students. To achieve this aimed, the researcher followed the experimental method with its quasi-experimental design, prepared a test on linguistic styles and grammatical functions, and applied it after verifying its validity and reliability on a sample of (41) students in the fifth grade of primary school in the city of Hail, with (21) students in the experimental group and (20) students in the control group. The results of the research showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the post-measurement of linguistic styles and grammatical functions in favor of the group experimentally. The results also showed that the size of the effect for the of idea filtering strategy was large. (Published abstract)
