واقع التوجيه والإرشاد المهني لدى طلاب وطالبات المرحلة الثانوية في مدارس المملكة العربية السعودية
The study aimed to identify the reality of how professional guidance and counseling help the student to know himself. And learning about the reality of helping vocational guidance and guidance to the student know and understand the considerations related to his career choice. And learning about the reality of applying personality standards to determine the suitability of the student’s personal characteristics to the requirements of the profession. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, and the study population consisted of male and female secondary school students in general education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 1443 AH. The study was applied to a sample of (110), (40) male and (70) female high school students in general education in the three grades: first, second, and third in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher designed a questionnaire in accordance with the objectives of the study, and the results of the study demonstrated the ability of the students, members of the sample, to understand themselves, know their inclinations, interests, and desires, and their objective knowledge of their abilities and potentials. The results of the study also indicate that students have a high degree of application of the skill of professional choice and employing it in the process of determining a career path, and that male and female students realize the importance of matching their personal characteristics to the requirements of the profession in the future, including the appropriate specialization for study at the university level.
