فعالية برنامج إرشادي لتحسين الصمود النفسي والصلابة النفسية لدى عينة من مبتوري أطراف تعز
The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a counseling program in improving psychological resilience and psychological hardiness among a sample of amputees in the city of Taiz. To achieve this goal, a quasi-experimental approach was used. The main sample consisted of 50 amputees receiving treatment in the city of Taiz. Two tools were used: the Davidson (2003) scale to measure psychological resilience and the Madkour (2006) scale to measure psychological hardiness. The psychometric conditions of each tool were verified, and the results showed that the scales had acceptable reliability coefficients and validity through both referee validity and internal consistency validity. A random sample of those who scored low on the two scales was selected. The study sample consisted of 10 amputees who were randomly divided into two groups: the first was an experimental group that underwent the counseling program, and the second was a control group that did not undergo the program for comparison. The study results showed that the level of psychological resilience and psychological hardiness was initially low. There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the psychological resilience scale between the pre-test and post-test measurements. However, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the psychological hardiness scale in favor of the post-test, indicating the effectiveness of the guidance program in improving the level of psychological hardiness among amputees in the city of Taiz. As for the effect size of the guidance program on psychological hardiness, the "Cohen's d" value was 4.43, which is considered very large and indicates a very large effect size, and the "η²" value was 0.919, indicating a very large effect size The study concluded that the guidance program had a very significant effect on improving the psychological resilience and psychological hardiness of amputees in Taiz.
