The research aimed to identify the level of functional writing skills and their relationship to linguistic intelligence among secondary school students in the Republic of Chad. To achieve the research goal, the descriptive analytical method was used, and the researcher prepared a list of functional writing skills among third-year secondary school students, and a test of functional writing skills and a test of linguistic intelligence skills were prepared, then their validity and reliability were verified. The researcher chose a sample of second-year secondary school students, numbering (67) male and female students. The two research tools were applied to them, and the results were monitored and processed statistically, resulting in the following results: The level of functional writing skills among second year secondary school students reached (19.69) It is an average value, and the level of linguistic intelligence skills among second year secondary school students reached (10.15), which is an average value, and there is a positive correlation between the students’ mastery of functional writing skills and the level of linguistic intelligence, and in light of these results, it was recommended. Paying attention to developing functional writing skills among second year secondary school students because of its positive impact on effective, linguistic, communication. (Published abstract)
