أساليب المعاملة الوالديّة وعلاقتها بسلوك التنمر الإلكتروني لدى المراهقات
This research aims to examine the relationship between parenting styles and cyberbullying behavior among adolescent girls in Jazan schools. The researcher employed a descriptive correlational method, chosen for its suitability to the study’s objectives and research questions. A simple random sample of 150 high school female students from Jazan Education Directorate schools was used. The study utilized two scales to evaluate parenting styles and cyberbullying behaviors. The statistical methods used included Pearson's correlation coefficient to analyze the relationship between variables, Cronbach's alpha to assess the reliability of measurement tools, and one way ANOVA to test the effects of demographic variables such as age, academic level, and social status. Standard deviations were also analyzed to provide a comprehensive description of the variables. The results indicated that, overall, parenting styles were positively inclined, emphasizing guidance and emotional support, which enhance adolescents' self-confidence and sense of responsibility. On the other hand, the study found that cyberbullying behaviors were prevalent to varying degrees among the students, with blocking and deleting offensive messages being the most common preventive actions, while retaliatory responses were less frequent. The results also revealed a statistically significant correlation between parenting styles and cyberbullying behaviors, suggesting that parenting styles influence adolescent responses to cyberbullying. Additionally, the ANOVA analysis showed that age had a significant effect on certain aspects of parenting styles, while academic level and social status showed no statistically significant effects.
