This study aimed to explore the role of Palestinian higher education institutions in promoting a culture of self-employment among their students, while examining the significance of differences in responses based on gender, institution, and academic major. Employing a descriptive analytical method, a questionnaire was administered to 541 students. Results revealed a moderate assessment (64.74%) of institutional efforts in fostering self-employment. No significant differences were found related to gender or major, but variations emerged among institutions in specific domains: Al-Israa University outperformed Al-Aqsa University and Palestine University in providing self-employment resources and a suitable learning environment, as well as in academic and student activities. Al-Israa University and the University College of Applied Sciences also excelled in utilizing media platforms. The study recommends establishing technological business incubators across all institutions and fundamentally revising curricula to integrate self-employment promotion. (Published abstract)
