The research aimed to identify the areas of employing artificial intelligence applications to support the goals of the digital transformation process in public schools, the availability of these applications, and the most prominent challenges and ways to address them from the perspective of a sample of (100) public school principals in Riyadh. The research results showed that the research sample agreed to a high degree on the areas and the availability of requirements for applying artificial intelligence to achieve the goals of digital transformation. However, they agreed to a very high degree on the challenges of applying artificial intelligence and how to address them. The research recommended the need to work on developing teacher preparation programs to enable them to keep pace with the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process.
