توظيف الذكاء الاصطناعي في تعزيز مهام أعضاء هيئة التدريس بأقسام الإعلام والاتصال : دراسة ميدانية
Faculty members in media and communication departments play a crucial role in preparing media professionals capable of adapting to the evolving digital landscape. This necessitates studying how AI can enhance their academic and research performance. Despite the global expansion of AI in education, there remains a significant knowledge and practical gap regarding its integration into faculty tasks, including teaching, academic assessment, research, and administrative responsibilities. Additionally, several challenges arise, such as faculty members’ acceptance of AI, the level of training available to them, and the technical barriers that may hinder AI adoption in media education environments. Based on these considerations, this study seeks to answer the following key questions: 1) To what extent can AI effectively enhance the roles of faculty members in media and communication departments? 2) How does AI influence the quality of education, academic interaction, and research productivity? 3) What are the main challenges hindering the implementation of AI in university media education? To address these questions, the study adopts the AI-Augmented Learning Theory, which provides a scientific framework for analyzing the role of AI in improving and advancing media education. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach to investigate the practical applications of AI in supporting and developing faculty tasks. A simple random sample of 100 faculty members from media and communication departments across various universities will be surveyed to assess their use of AI in teaching, evaluation, and academic research, identify the most commonly used AI applications, and explore the challenges they face.
