This study examines the structural and cognitive impacts of the ongoing Israeli war (2023-2024) on university education in Gaza, focusing on strategic and educational dimensions amid continuous disruptions. The study utilized a descriptive-analytical approach, gathering data from 311 students across several Palestinian universities, as well as interviews with academic staff members. The findings revealed significant negative impacts on students' academic performance, including a decline in academic achievement and temporary interruptions to the educational process. Psychological effects were also evident, such as reduced motivation, perseverance, and a limitation in creativity and academic ambition. Furthermore, challenges such as inadequate study environments, difficulties in accessing the internet and electricity, and a shortage of academic references were highlighted. The study recommends enhancing the use of e-learning, improving digital infrastructure, providing psychological and social support for students to cope with the effects of the war, and establishing an international safety net to support the rebuilding of the academic system in the post-war period.
