The study aimed to present proposed mechanisms to improve the ranking of Umm Al-Qura University in the Times classification of the impact of higher education on the sustainable development goals to achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030, And that is through the responses of the study sample on the importance of the proposed mechanisms related to the classification criteria, and to achieve this, the study relied on the descriptive survey approach, as the study sample reached (350) members of the teaching staff at Umm Al-Qura University, The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting study data, and the study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which are: The degree of approval of the importance of the proposed mechanisms to improve the ranking of Saudi universities in the Times classification of the impact of higher education on the sustainable development goals came with a high response rate, as the total arithmetic mean for all criteria was (3.66) and a standard deviation of (,778). The degree of importance of the criterion of teaching came in the first place with an arithmetic average of (4.04) and with a (high) degree of agreement, while the degree of importance of the criterion of awareness and communication came in the second place with an arithmetic mean of (3.79). The results of the study also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the response of the study sample to the degree of approval of the importance of the proposed mechanisms, which are attributed to the variable (college type, gender), While the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences due to the variable (scientific rank) in favor of the study individuals who are at the rank of professor, The study made a number of recommendations, most notably: The need to work on diversifying the university's academic programs in line with the requirements of sustainable development and the needs of the labor market.
