درجة تضمين السمات الأساسية للاستقصاء في كتاب الجغرافيا المطور للصف العاشر الأساسي في الأردن
This study aimed at identifying the degree of including the basic properties of inquiry in the first part of the developed geography textbook (empirical edition, 2023) for the tenth grade in Jordan. The study sample consisted of the content of the developed geography textbook (empirical edition/ 2023) for the tenth grade in Jordan which includes (3) modules and (9) lessons. The study used the analytical descriptive approach based on a developed analytical tool that consisted of (4) main domains and (32) sub-domains that represent the basic properties of inquiry; its validity and reliability were verified. The results revealed that the first main domain (the skills and processes of inquiry) was in the first place with (159) repetitions and a percentage of (39.3%), and a very low degree inclusion. The most frequent basic properties of inquiry were in the sub-domain of (scientific inquiry) with (43) repetitions and a percentage of (10.6%), and a very low inclusion degree. The second lesson (geographical information systems) from the third unit had the most repetitions for the sub-domains that represent the basic properties of inquiry with (56) repetitions and a percentage of (13.9%), and a very low inclusion degree. In the light of the results, the study recommended designing the geography textbook so that it allows more space for students to explore, inquire and participate in data-collection, where they have more self-learning, in addition to increasing the practical activities that allow students to determine the inquiry question and design the appropriate activity that enable students to answer the inquiry question.
