This study aimed to identify the reality of the educational role of the Saudi family in promoting the culture of saving among the child in light of contemporary variables from the parents' point of view, In addition to revealing the obstacles of this role, the study followed the descriptive survey approach, and a questionnaire was constructed that was applied to a sample of fathers and mothers, whose number was (1007) of fathers and mothers from all regions and governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The study found results, the most important of which is that the Saudi family is often concerned with enhancing the saving culture of the child, but it tends to be concerned with promoting savings values and concepts more than practical methods and methods of saving, especially the modern ones, such as planning for savings, money management and future directions,The study sample confirmed that there are obstacles to their educational role in promoting a saving culture, the most important of which are the high cost of living and high prices, and the weakness of the family's saving planning culture. The results also indicated that mothers are more interested in promoting the saving culture of their children than parents, There were no significant differences with regard to the educational level of the parents, the standard of living of the family, or the number of its members, In order to develop this role, the study suggested strengthening the developmental and economic dimensions of the Saudi family, developing the saving culture for parents, and training them in modern educational methods for family savings, planning and financial management for the family through associations, channels and programs concerned with the family, and that universities, schools and relevant civil society institutions play their role in preparing and implementing programs about this.
