The current research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a proposed unite based on flipped learning to develop the cognitive aspects of the methods of teaching mathematics and the independence of learning among the educational diploma female students at Jazan University. It also aimed to recognize the types of correlational relationship between the cognitive aspects of the methods of teaching mathematics and the independence of learning among such female students. The researcher adopted the quasi experimental with one study group design (n=28). Pre-posting testing took place with the aim of measuring the effectiveness of the independent variable (the unite based on flipped learning) in developing the dependent variables (the cognitive aspects of the methods of teaching mathematics- the independence of learning among educational diploma female students. The results revealed that there is a statistically significant difference between the students’ mean score in the pre-post administrations of the cognitive aspects test and the independence of learning scale in favor of the post administration, also, there was a statistically significant positive relationship at the level of (0.01) between the students' achievement of the cognitive aspects of the methods of teaching mathematics and their independence of learning. In the light of these findings, some suggestions and recommendations were presented. (Published abstract)
