تطوير مدونة آداب للمساءلة التربوية في الأردن
This study aimed to build a code-of-ethics for educational accountability in Jordan. The developmental approach has been used, A questionnaire of (35) items was developed, and the validity and reliability were conducted using Cronbach alpha which equal to (90.3). The study used a sample of (183) principals, The results showed that the reality of applying ethics of accountability was at the poor level, while the domain of conflict of interest was at the very-poor level, and the other domains: Knowledge professionalism and merit, focus on learners, respect and sharing, protection and privacy, objectivity, evidence and proofs all are at the Poor level. Upon calculating the t-test coefficient, it didn't show gender differences Accordingly, a code-of-ethics was developed, which consisted of three components: The Code-of-Ethics for assessors at the Accountability Unit; it contained six domains that mentioned above, the Code-of-Ethics of accountability admin team which consisted of (21) items, and the code-of-ethics for employees in the evaluated schools which came in ten items. The study recommended that the Accountability and Quality of Education Unit would adapt the developed code of ethics. (Published abstract)
