The building and development of websites for library institutions depends on achieving the element of usability, starting from the planning and design stage and ending with the work of the site and its use. Evaluating and analyzing the usability of the websites of private college libraries in Baghdad in terms of indicators of evaluation and analysis according to usability standards. The evaluation and analysis of the websites of private libraries was carried out according to the electronic usability test program and tool (Morae) on the categories of users of those sites, which included (bachelor’s students, master’s students and Ph.D. students and university professors), where the descriptive approach and the analytical approach were used to survey the sites of private college libraries in Baghdad, as well as for a sample of students and professors of the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at Al-Mustansiriyah University, College of Arts. The study also found the necessity of applying the usability test on websites For private libraries, whether in the design or post-production stage because of its important role in developing the library site on the one hand and attracting users to it on the other hand, and the study reached several results, perhaps the most important of which is the weakness of providing current briefing services and selective broadcasting services, as well as the weakness of the formal aspect of the sites of private libraries in Baghdad in terms of color clarity, font size, Organization, and in the light of these results, the study developed several recommendations, including the commitment of the private colleges libraries in Baghdad to provide the most important services, such as: briefing services and selective broadcasting services, because they have a role in serving the beneficiaries to obtain sources of information in the field of their scientific specialization and upgrading the formal aspect of the library site (Interfaces), which are represented by (clarity of colors, font size, organization), which is one of the elements of usability.
