The study aims to identify the poetic story and its role in developing national values among children in early childhood from the point of view of teachers. To achieve the aim of the study, a questionnaire was prepared, and it was based on three axes. The first axis relates to the poetic story and its role in developing the values of belonging and loyalty among children, and the axis relates to the second concerns the poetic story and its role in developing the values of responsibility in children. The third axis relates to the poetic story and its role in developing the values of social responsibility in children. The sample was (137) female teachers in the early childhood stage, and they were selected in a random stratified manner. The results showed that the poetic story has a major role in developing the values of belonging and loyalty among children and preparing good citizens, and the teacher has an important role. It represents a major element in developing national values among children through the way it presents the poetic story. The poetic story also has a role in enhancing the child’s awareness of the importance and dignity of the homeland and how to contribute to preserving it, and the importance of accustoming the child to practicing discipline, respecting regulations, and not assaulting the freedom of others, and the necessity of Involving children in volunteer work to develop national values and build strong social relationships. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) in the guardian’s estimates due to the educational qualification variable, and also to the experience variable.
