The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of using music and singing in improving the harmonious behavior of children with intellectual disabilities who are capable of learning. The research was conducted on a sample of (12) male and female children with intellectual disabilities who are capable of learning and whose ages range from (9-12) years. They were divided into two equal groups: an experimental group that included (6) children, and a control group that included (6) children. The following tools were used: a preliminary data form (prepared by the researcher), the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, fifth picture, (Arabization and codification by Dr. Safwat Farag) ,a measure of the economic, social, and cultural level (Dr. Muhammad Saafan, Dr. Doaa Khattab, 2016), Harmonic Behavior Scale, Part One - Fourth Picture (prepared and translated by Safwat Faraj, Nahid Ramzi), fifth edition 2001, and the training program based on the use of music and singing (prepared by the researcher). The results resulted in statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the intellectually disabled children in the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement of compatible behavior (dimensions and the scale as a whole) in favor of the experimental group after applying the training program, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the scores of the experimental group in children with disabilities. Intellectual disability in the pre- and post-measurements of compliant behavior in favor of the post measurement. There are no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental group’s scores in children with intellectual disability in the post- and post-measurements of compliant behavior after applying the program.
