The research aimed to identify the requirements of institutional excellence in Egyptian universities in the light of the standards of the Malcolm Baldrige model, the most important obstacles to achieving institutional excellence for Egyptian universities, and the obstacles to achieving institutional excellence in universities. The Malcolm Baldrige model was presented in terms of its origin, philosophy, aim, philosophy, and standards. The research in the light of the standards of the Malcolm Baldrige model reached a number of requirements, the most important of which are: the need for leaders to have a future vision that supports the development of universities and improve their performance, which helps them achieve institutional excellence and ensures their survival and continuity in a highly competitive environment. The need to use modern technological methods in the educational process, the need for a strategic vision for Egyptian universities that supports the achievement of institutional excellence, and the application of international best practices in the field of process management by reviewing and comparing performance with leading international universities.
