This study aims to examine the relationship between inhibitory control executive and cognitive flexibility among a sample of gifted students in the city of Taif. The study used the descriptive correlational method, and the sample consisted of 60 gifted students enrolled in the gifted education program at the middle schools and nominated with the available sampling method. Self-Regulation Scale was conducted to collect the data from the inhibitory control executive and the cognitive flexibility scale. The result of the study showed that gifted students have high levels of inhibitory control executive and cognitive flexibility. The result also indicated that there is a positive correlation between inhibitory control executive and cognitive flexibility, and there are statistically significant differences in the averages of the students’ responses in inhibitory control executive due to the gender variable in favor of females. On the other hand, no statistically significant differences appeared in the cognitive flexibility due to the gender variable. (Published abstract)
