معوقات توظيف التعليم الإلكتروني في التعليم المفتوح : راسة حالة جامعة السودان المفتوحة في الفترة من2005م-2012م

This study is entitled: Difficulties of employing e-learning in Open Education: the case study of Open University of the Sudan 2005-2012. The study aimed at introducing the idea of e-learning as a basic factor for the development of educational standard upgrading it to the highest levels to keep pace with the tremendous technological development and to identify the direction of the coming generation towards a successful and effective society. The open university of Sudan has been taken as a model for the carrying out this study. The study used a descriptive analytical survey method to collect the data and information. A questionnaire was chosen as a tool for data collection. The study sample was one hundred people from the staff of the Open University of Sudan in the Khartoum branch who were randomly chosen. The study comes out with a set of findings and recommendations including: e-learning does not specify a time for learning so a teacher can upload the whole learning material at once and the students can deal with it through seminars and assignments. The density of the content does not limit the full benefit of learning. The objectives of e-learning system at the university are still not clear enough and not well prepared. The study recommends the provision of infrastructure for this type of education such as: the preparation of trained manpower and to provide the required communication lines computer equipment and adequate technical support. The development of training programs for students educators tutors and administrators to make the most benefit of technology. Need to reconsider the academic burden of the tutors for s/he is the main shareholder in the education industry. (Published abstract)
