The study aimed to identify the reality of financing higher education in light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to determine the level of human capital development in light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom, and to know whether there is a statistically significant role for financing higher education in the development of human capital. In light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom, and the study adopted the descriptive correlative approach, a random sample of (269) academic leaders in (8) Saudi public universities representing the eastern, western, northern and southern regions of the Kingdom were selected. Their data was collected through a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by statistical analysis software (SPSS). The results showed that the reality of financing higher education in light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is at a high degree, and the level of human capital development in light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came to a high degree, and there is a statistically significant role for financing higher education in developing human capital in light of the trend towards the knowledge economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
