This study aimed to investigate of the effect of the 21st-century skills on the development of moral values in applied mathematics among twelfth grade students in the sultanate of Oman. The study adopted a quasi-experimental approach, based on the design of two groups (experimental and control) and pre-post application. The study sample consisted of 73 students from the twelfth grade those who study applied mathematics at Abu Tamam Basic Education School affiliated with the Directorate General of Education in Muscat Governorate, and they were divided into two groups: the experimental group, consisting of 37 students, studied the instructional unit using the 21st-century skills, while the control group, consisting of 36 students, studied using the usual method. The researcher designed the moral values Scale to measure the level of the students of the study sample in the moral values after verifying its validity and reliability, it consists of (19) items divided into five dimensions, each dimension representing a moral value, which are: honesty, respect for others, responsibility, cooperation, and patience. The findings of the study revealed a significant statistical difference in moral value :(honesty, respect for others, responsibility, cooperation, and patience) single and together, between the students of the two study groups in favour of the experimental group that was taught using 21st-century skills. The study recommends the implementation of the 21st-century skills when teaching applied mathematics to twelfth-grade students. (Published abstract)
