The aim of study is to identify the effectiveness of in the program based on the educational drama in the development oral language communication skills for students at Al Azhar preparatory level student of the first grad of Al Azhar preparatory school. To achieve the aims of study the researcher used the quasi - experimental approach based on two groups experimental and controlling and designed a number of research tools and materials namely: A list of oral communication skills and designing the program based on the educational drama. Oral communication test (listening) and observation card of speaking skills (after assuring the truth and reliability of the research tools and setting the materials scientifically. The research began applying them previously to the two research groups, experimental and controlling, where the number of students of each group reached (30) pupils and after applying the program of the educational drama on the experimental group. The listening skills test and the observation were card for the speaking skills applied afterwards after analyzing data and statistical proc esses, the results reached are as follows: The use of the program based on the educational drama had an effective and positive impact on the development oral communication skill of the experimental group pupils. The results also showed a statistically significant difference between the average score of pupils of the two groups: The controlling and experimental for the benefit of experimental group pupils in regard to applying the test of listening skills and observation card wholly and partially in each separates sublevel which shows the effectiveness of the educational drama based program in developing oral communication skills for student at Al-Azher preparatory level.
