This study aimed to reveal the effect of emotional intelligence on the levels of self-esteem among female students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University. Hypotheses through which the questions of the study were answered. The sample size was (200) students from the Faculty of Arts at Taif University. Two scales were used to obtain data from the sample members. They are a measure of emotional intelligence and a measure of self-esteem. A group of statistical methods were used, including the arithmetic mean and Pearson's relationship. The results of the study concluded that there is a statistically significant direct correlation between the level of emotional intelligence in all its dimensions (knowledge of emotions - management of emotions - social skills) and the level of self esteem among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University. The results also showed a high level of emotional intelligence dimensions. The results also found that there were statistically significant differences in the level of emotional intelligence among students of the Faculty of Arts at Taif University, due to the variable of specialization in favor of students of media and communication sciences, and to the variable of academic level due to the benefit of students of higher levels, and to the variable of age in favor of female students whose ages are 27 years or more. In light of the results of the overall study, the researcher recommended providing psychological support to female students who have low levels of emotional intelligence and self-esteem, and carrying out disciplinary programs under the supervision of the university and in cooperation with public and private education schools to educate students about the importance of self-esteem. She also suggested conducting an experimental study on the effectiveness of raising the percentage of emotional intelligence.
