The study aimed to examine the correlation between self-regulation and happiness, determine the extent to which self-regulation contributes to predicting happiness in the Bahraini and Kuwaiti study samples, and reveal the differences between the two study samples in the extent to which self-regulation contributes to predicting happiness according to the interaction between gender and nationality. This study was conducted on a sample of (200) teachers from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the same number from Kuwait, with (160) male and female participants (240) whose ages ranged between (20-60) years. The study tools consisted of a self-regulation scale written by Ayman Akram Zayan, and a happiness scale written by Argyle Martin and Law, translated and codified by Ahmed Abdel Khaleq. These tools were characterized by high validity and reliability. The results concluded that: There is a positive correlation between self-regulation and happiness. The results of the stepwise multiple regression analysis also revealed: the ability of self-regulation and the (planning) dimension to predict happiness in the two samples. The results also found that there were significant differences between the Kuwaiti and Bahraini study samples in average performance on the study measures (self-regulation, happiness) in favor of the Kuwaitis (females only) .
