This research aims to study logical thinking from the perspective of Herrmann among academically gifted students, with the goal of identifying the level of this type of thinking among them and analyzing its impact on their academic performance. The research sample consisted of 100 male and female students who excel academically, selected randomly from the third-year high school classes in the following streams: "Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, and Technical Sciences". These streams are considered scientific disciplines that require high logical thinking abilities. The study was conducted using the descriptive-analytical approach, which allows for accurate description of the studied phenomenon and analysis of its relationships with various related variables. In order to collect the necessary data, the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument was used to measure different thinking patterns among individuals. Its validity and reliability were confirmed through its application on a previous pilot sample, enhancing the trustworthiness of the results. Additionally, grade reports from the first and second terms of the 2021-2022 academic year were used to obtain objective and accurate data regarding the level of academic excellence of the sample. The study concluded with the following results: The level of logical thinking among academically gifted students is generally high. There is a statistically significant positive correlation between logical thinking and academic excellence, with a correlation coefficient of 0.71, indicating a relatively strong relationship that confirms the importance of enhancing logical thinking skills to support academic success and achieve outstanding academic results.
