تصورات معلمات الحاسب حول ظاهرة ضعف بعض مهارات البرمجة بلغة الفيجوال بيسك
The study aimed to investigate the perceptions of computer teachers regarding the phenomenon of weakness in some programming skills in Visual Basic. To achieve the study's objectives, a qualitative approach was followed, and interviews were used to collect data. The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: 1) The importance of programming lies in the advancement of technological life. 2) Among the main sources from which teachers derive programming skills in Visual Basic are the textbook, some specialized programming books, websites that focus on programming, YouTube tutorials, and Telegram channels for computer teachers. 3) It is not necessary to master all Visual Basic skills; basic skills are sufficient. If the basic skills are mastered, programming can be mastered as well, by gradually developing skills through research and self-learning. 4) Among the main reasons for the weakness in programming skills is that it is a new concept for students, the lack of students' skills in dealing with computers, some students' belief that programming is not important, and students' weakness in the English language. Based on the results of this study, the researcher recommended the following: 1) Conducting training courses for teachers on how to address educational loss concerning programming skills. 2) Preparing computer labs and increasing the number of classes for the subject, enhancing enrichment resources for students regarding programming skills, and increasing the study units in middle school curricula related to the field of programming.
