This study aimed to investigate the levels of imagination among gifted and non-gifted secondary school students in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as to examine the differences in imagination levels and its dimensions based on student gender and classification (gifted, non-gifted). To achieve the objectives of the study, both descriptive and causal-comparative research methodologies were employed. Data was collected using an imagination scale from a sample of 307 students, including 167 gifted students and 140 non-gifted students. The results revealed that gifted students exhibited significantly higher levels of imagination in specific dimensions, particularly in creative imagination and time-related imagination. In contrast, non-gifted students demonstrated moderate levels across most dimensions, with a marked decline in creative imagination. Statistically significant differences were found between genders, favoring females across all dimensions of imagination. Moreover, gifted students outperformed non-gifted students in the dimensions of time-related imagination, transitions in imaginative experiences, creative imagination, and imaginative responsiveness. However, no statistically significant differences were found in the interaction between gender and student classification across the dimensions of imagination. (Published abstract)
