The teaching of literary criticism still depends on the recitation and the lecture, and the sufficiency of acquiring some skills, without employing them in tasting and criticizing the text. In addition, critical skills are taught as rigid templates, which causes students to feel bored, and they do not rise in thinking to adopt critical visions characterized by objectivity and quality. The research aims to identify the effectiveness of a program based on linguistic activities in developing literary criticism skills for students of the fourth year, the Arabic language division in the Faculties of Education. A list of the appropriate literary criticism skills has been identified for students, and the research sample was represented by (57) students of the fourth year in the Faculty of Education. The literary criticism test was prepared and applied beforehand Then the literary criticism test was applied afterwards, and one of the most important results was the presence of a statistically significant difference between the scores of the sample students in the pre and post tests of literary criticism skills in favor of the post application, and the effectiveness of the program in developing literary criticism skills among the sample students.
