The research aims to know the role of Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University in empowering faculty members for leadership positions, by identifying the reality of Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University empowering faculty members in the areas of "delegation of authority and decision-making", in addition to reviewing global trends For empowerment in higher education institutions, and to identify whether there are differences between the responses of the research sample about empowering faculty members for leadership positions at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University due to the following variables: (academic rank, years of service, and number of training courses in the administrative field), Exposing obstacles to empowering faculty members to leadership positions at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, And proposed mechanisms to empower the faculty members at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University in light of global practices and trends. So, to achieve these goals, the descriptive survey approach was used, relying on the questionnaire as a tool to collect data and information, where the questionnaire was applied to a random sample of (372) members of the body Teaching, from the research population for faculty members at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University. The results of the research showed: The approval of faculty members in Princess Noura University colleges about the reality of the university’s empowerment of faculty members for leadership positions in the areas of delegation of authority and decision-making with a medium degree, in addition to strong approval by faculty members in university colleges about the obstacles to empowering faculty to leadership positions At university, As well as strongly agreeing to the proposals put forward to empower faculty members for leadership positions at the university, and there are statistically no significant differences at the level of significant (0.01) between the responses of university faculty members about the reality of faculty members' empowerment for leadership positions at the university in the two areas (delegation of authority And decision-making) attributed to variables (academic rank, years of service, and number of training courses in the administrative field). Therefore, the research recommends some recommendations, which are: University leaders ’belief in the importance of implementing empowerment and adopting it as a method and curriculum in educational institutions, that faculty members are selected for leadership positions based on objective criteria and sound foundations, and continuous training for faculty members to improve their capabilities and leadership skills.
