This study aimed to identify the degree to which postgraduate students possess qualitative research skills and their attitudes towards it. The sample study consisted of 219 postgraduate students in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University during the academic year 2021-2022. A descriptive research approach was employed. A questionnaire was used to measure the skills of qualitative research and the attitudes towards it. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified. Among the most prominent findings of the study is that the degree to which postgraduate students at the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University possess qualitative research skills was moderate, and that they had positive attitudes towards qualitative research. The results also indicated that the most contributing factor to the variation in the degree to which postgraduate students possess qualitative research skills was the study of the qualitative research methods course. The contributing factor to the variation in postgraduate students' attitudes towards qualitative research was the study of the scientific research methodologies course. The results also showed the existence of statistically significant positive correlations between qualitative research skills and attitudes towards it. The study concluded with a set of recommendations and suggestions in light of the results that have been reached. (Published abstract)
