The study aims to examine the role of knowledge management processes in improving organizational agility in the university system to reduce administrative bureaucracy by identifying the challenges that hinder the activation of knowledge management processes and identify mechanisms for activating knowledge management processes to improve organizational agility. The study follows the descriptive approach and applies the questionnaire as a tool for faculty members. A number of results were reached, including the following: 1) (44%) agree that “some university employees refused to reduce the regulatory procedures,” which is below average and means that there is an acceptance to reduce organizational procedures. 2) (64%) agree that “the bureaucratic pattern limits the flow of knowledge between the units of the organization,” which means that members of the sample believe that the bureaucratic pattern does not limit the flow of knowledge, and this is an indication of their belief in that pattern. 3) (52%) disagreed on “the difficulty of providing an atmosphere in which joint responsibility prevails with the ability of the bureaucratic pattern”, which indicates that the study sample finds that the bureaucratic pattern enables the provision of an environment in which joint responsibility prevails which is contrary to the scientific truth of the pattern. 4) The value of (P) shows that there are no statistically significant differences between the total responses of the study sample on the challenges of activating knowledge management processes that are attributable to the study variables: academic rank, years of service, and the number of training courses. 5) The mean of the axis = 2.7, is in the first level of approval score. This indicates that the majority of responses agreed on methods of applying knowledge management to achieve organizational agility in the university system. 6) 88 % of respondents did not agree to the rapid response of the beneficiaries' satisfaction by opening programs that meet their renewable needs, which gives an indication of a lack of awareness of the role of this in achieving competitive advantage in institutional performance. 7) The study sample members did not agree to enable employees through electronic participation processes at various organizational levels to achieve a digital management environment of (76%). 8) The total arithmetic mean of the axis = 2.7 is located at the first level of the degree of approval, and this indicates that the study sample agrees with the mechanisms of activating the organizational agility of the university system.
