The study aimed to construct and validate the psychometric properties of the self-control skills scale for young people (12-24 years), revealing their level of self–control skills and degree on its three dimensions, and to explore possible statistically significant differences in their level due to (gender, age, academic level) among a sample of (347) Algerian young people. To achieve the study purpose, the descriptive analytical approach was employed, utilizing a 30 items final self-control skills scale designed by the two researchers categorized into three dimensions (self-monitoring, self- evaluation, self-reinforcement), and data analysis using the statistical program (SPSS26). The results found: The scale of self-control skills and its three dimensions have high psychometric properties in both indicators of validity(external, discriminant, and internal consistency, Virtual),and reliability (Cronbach's alpha=0.774), (Gittmann's split-half= 0.795), consistent with the characteristics of good scales, young people have high degrees of self-control skills across three dimensions with no statistically significant differences in said degrees due to (gender, age) with differences due to (academic level).
