تحليل اختبار الكفاءة اللغوية لمهارات اللغة الإنجليزية لطلاب كلية التربية في ضوء بعض معايير بناء اختبارات الكفاءة اللغوية
In light of Egyptian higher education policy of developing college learners' skills, the educational studies sector committee suggested adding two new courses, the first aims at developing Arabic language linguistic competence skills and the other aims at developing English language linguistic competence skills. Since it is a new academic experience adopted by the bylaw of the Faculty of Education at October 6 University in the academic year 2020-2021, this innovation should be evaluated. Accordingly, this research aims at evaluating English language proficiency test in light of some standardized test standards to identify the strong and weak points of English language proficiency test for the second semester of the academic year 2021-2022. Therefore, a list of some criteria for language proficiency tests was prepared and validated. The statistical report issued by the University Measurement and Evaluation Center on 6/24/2021 was analyzed to determine the validity of the test in light of the students’ performance. Through the systematic analysis of the test, the study concluded that the test is valid in terms of the criteria of test making, as reflected in the evaluations of the criteria. In addition, the test is a good test in terms of the level of difficulty, ease and its ability to distinguish among students' levels, as reflected in the analysis of the results of students' performance on the target test.
